Miranda Lambert’s Dating History Proves She Definitely *Had* a Thing for Musicians

When it comes to celebrities who have a type, Miranda Lambert definitely comes to mind. Well, she used to, anyway! Throughout the country singer’s career, she’s had four public relationships — three of which were with fellow musicians.

Miranda’s dating history includes country crooner Blake Shelton, R&B artist Anderson East, Turnpike Troubadours’ Evan Felker and of course, her husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

While Miranda met all of her former flames through the music industry, she and Brendan came across each other by chanceIn 2018, the Texas native and her band, Pistol Annies, appeared on Good Morning America. At the time, Brendan, who is a retired NYPD officer, was working security for the show.

Miranda was too shy to approach Brendan, so her bandmates Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley stepped in. “My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone. They invited him to our show behind my back,” the “Tin Man” singer previously told The New York Times.

“They plucked him for me. My security guy Tom, he was in on it, too,” Miranda continued. “He said to me, ‘He’s here. And he’s pretty.’ Now the Pistol Annies have three husbands, two ex-husbands, three children, a stepson and 23 animals. We’ve done a lot in nine years!”

Blake Shelton accounts for one of those ex-husbands. Miranda and The Voice coach officially started dating in 2007 — they made their red carpet debut at the CMT Music Awards that year — and later got married in 2011. In 2015, the pair split.

Blake is now married to Gwen Stefani, whom he started dating shortly after his split from Miranda, while the country queen and her new love are stronger than ever. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Miranda’s Wildcard Tour was postponed, so she and Brendan decided to travel the country together. “They’re sightseeing, making stops, cooking, sleeping under the stars — it’s been heaven,” a source previously told Life & Style.

“They’ve even had long conversations about starting a family together. It’s something they both want but agreed to wait a little while,” the insider added. “Now, having all this time together with no interruptions, and with the current state of the world, they’re rethinking the timing of everything. A family might come sooner than they originally planned.”
