Mother of LIB’s Tyler Francis’ Kids Debunks ‘Sperm Donor’ Claims: ‘The Twins Were Unplanned’
The mother of Love Is Blind season 7 star Tyler Francis’ three children has cleared the air about the timeline of their relationship and debunked his “sperm donor” claims in an emotional statement.
“Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a shy person. I am a private person. I do not like all of my business out in the world for everyone to see and know, but that is just the situation that we’re in right now, out of my control,” Bri Thomas shared via Instagram on Saturday, October 19. “There was a time in which Tyler was one of my best friends. Even now, he’s still the father of my three beautiful children.”
Bri went on to explain that she and Tyler, 35, conceived their 5-year-old twin daughters as a result of “natural unplanned intercourse with absolutely no complexity surrounding parentage.”
“I fully admit I have not always been the most comfortable with that truth due to the fact that I’ve lived the majority of my life as a lesbian,” she added. “Nonetheless, it is exactly that, the truth.”
According to Bri – who also shares a 7-year-old son with the reality star – “Tyler was there with me the entire way, extremely supportive. We went to doctor’s appointments together. We even were living together.”
As for their eldest child, Bri explained Tyler was “only supposed to be helping me and my ex-wife,” which is what Tyler told his fiancée, Ashley Adionser, two weeks before their wedding. However, Tyler led her to believe this was the case for all three children.
“It was understood that Tyler was not supposed to assume a father role in Kai’s life,” Bri continued. Bri and her ex-wife ultimately split before their son’s birth. Bri and Tyler conceived their twins before the eldest son turned 1.
While Bri made it clear that she and Tyler were never in a romantic relationship, she claimed they “were co parenting these children together.”
“I truly hate that I had to provide an explanation in hopes of defending myself and my children. I just could not continue to sit back and allow what was being said about me and the kids to continue on and just be lied on and just sit here,” she added. “With that, Tyler hasn’t spoken to or seen the kids since September 30, 2023. That was the day before he left for this show. And that’s why I’m so beyond hurt and angry with him about all of this.”
Amid speculation that Tyler had fathered three children and hidden them from his fiancée, Life & Style exclusively revealed that after Love Is Blind season 7 finished filming, the custody case involving the three children was reopened. Bri filed a petition for custody of the children in October 2021, which was settled in May 2022.
However, in January, the case was reopened and there is a hearing scheduled for November 15.
The mother of three also filed two separate petitions for change of name of a minor on February 6 in Baltimore City Circuit Court, according to court records viewed by Life & Style. She asked the judge to legally grant the name change of her twins from Francis to Thomas.
The case was closed and the name changes were granted on March 19.
