Love isn’t keeping her from the gym, y’all! Total Bellas star Nikki Bella was spotted looking fit and fabulous on a quick pre-gym time stroll in Los Angeles on August 16. Needless to say, we’re looking to take a tip or two from the former wrestling babe on how to get those abs … because all these summer cocktails definitely aren’t helping. First things first: make working out suck less by picking something you’re into. “Find ways to make working out fun so that it doesn’t become a chore! Trying new fitness classes is a great way to do this,” Nikki explained, having previously revealed her love of Pure Barre classes with twin sis Brie Bella.
Next step is to keep yourself hydrated throughout your workout. “A great way to trick yourself into drinking more water is to add fruit to it!” she suggested, but also warned, “Be careful, fruit acids may have a harmful effect on your tooth enamel.” Gotta watch out for those pearly whites!
For Nikki, a big part of staying fit is practicing balance — especially with food. “Incorporate more veggies into your favorite dishes. I love pasta, but the carbs don’t love me,” she revealed. “Instead of having a full serving of pasta, I will cook half a serving of whole wheat pasta and add a ton of veggies so that the meal becomes more balanced and filling while still giving me my carb fix.”
And, of course, she wants you to remember these changes are being made for you and you alone — at least, that’s the best way to implement them successfully. “Don’t be too hard on yourself or compare yourself to others,” she said. “All that matters is that you show up for yourself and make an effort every day.”
