Little fish! Prince William gushed over how quickly his kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have taken up swimming. The hobby is great for children to start at a young age — for fun and safety reasons — and the royal youngsters are actually following in their great-grandmother’s footsteps.

“I can remember seeing when the Queen [Elizabeth II] was young and her sister Princess Margaret – we used to see them swimming in pictures,” athlete Eileen Fenton divulged to the Press Association after speaking with the proud dad during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace on November 26. “[William] said that he and his wife make sure the children can swim and they all go and they swim quite well.”

Considering Eileen made history as the first woman to complete the Cross Channel Swimming Race in 1950, she was the perfect person for the Duke of Cambridge, 37, to dish about his kids’ new passion. “He said the whole family have done it,” she noted about the water sport.

Swimming isn’t the only skill George, 6, and Charlotte, 4, have picked up in their short lives. A source exclusively told Life & Style that they have also taken a liking to language. “They’re bilingual and can already speak fluent Spanish, thanks to their nanny Maria Barrallo,” the insider revealed. “Even [Prince] Louis is picking up certain words and tries to say ‘Hola.'”

Learning different dialects is a skill that is particularly important to their father. “Charlotte and George are well ahead of a majority of their school friends in the language department,” the insider noted. “William, who speaks five languages — English, French, Swahili, Welsh and Gaelic  — asked Maria to introduce Spanish to the kids at an early age so that it would come naturally to them and it’s worked.”

While it’s no secret that the royals live a privileged life, an additional source added that William and Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, “made it her mission to give her kids everyday experiences.” This belief will most likely be carried on because “William and [Duchess] Kate are huge believers in carrying on that tradition.”

George, Charlotte and Louis are so adorable, and we know they’re going to do big things!
