Priyanka Chopra Takes Inspo From Meghan Markle, Will Reportedly Marry Nick Jonas In A Palace
I hear wedding bells! It’s almost time for Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra to walk down the aisle. More and more details are being released, and it looks like their big day will be one for the books. The actress must’ve taken notes from her close friend and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle‘s wedding because the reported venue is *literally* princess perfect, according to The Sun.
The ceremony will reportedly take place on Dec. 1 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. This palace-turned-luxury-hotel has 347 rooms and is ranked by TripAdvisor as one of the top three hotels in the world. Not too shabby.
“The festivities begin in the last week of November. They’re relishing every minute,” a source close to the couple said. Apparently, it will be a whole week of celebrations that pull from both Nick and Priyanka’s heritage. “There are several events leading up to the wedding, including a Christian ceremony.” Among the Hindi traditions will be a “mehndi event” where Priyanka and Nick will be “decorated with henna body art.”
“They will culminate with the Indian wedding on Dec. 1 at the palace, where they will tie the knot under a traditional four-pillar structure, a mandap.” As for the fashion, the stylish couple surely won’t disappoint. The source dished, “Nick will wear ivory and Priyanka will be in red.” According to Today’s Bride, it’s common for brides in Indian weddings to wear red during the ceremony, and have an outfit change before the reception. I think we can definitely expect Priyanka to wow us with a few looks.
The bridal party will reportedly be wearing Ralph Lauren as an homage to Nick and Priyanka’s first public appearance at the 2017 Met Gala. Ugh, the pictures are going to be so beautiful and fabulous. Can’t wait!
