Getting older — we’re all afraid of it. So when Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards felt the big 5-0 breathing down her neck, she made sure to greet it in the best way she knew how: by working hard to feel and look great. When the Beverly Hills native spoke with Life & Style exclusively at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 9 premiere on February 12 in West Hollywood, she let us in on how her fear of her next birthday aided in revolutionizing her wellness habits.

“I’ve honestly been working my ass off harder than I’ve ever worked in my life because I was so scared to turn 50, which I just did,” Kyle revealed. “So I was like I’m going to do everything in my power to look and feel great. I mean, even when I had bronchitis I still went to the gym every day. I was like, I don’t care.” We love the determination, girl!

“So I’ve been working out every single day and take one day off,” the mom of four explained. “Sometimes it’s a Sunday. Even on a Sunday I’ll sometimes go for a hike with my friends, it’s like therapy for me. I drink celery juice every day. I do cleanses and am eating right.”

Dedication is everything, people, and Kyle really has just that — especially when it comes to her daily regimen.

“I wake up at around 5:30 a.m. I take my dogs out, then I get Portia’s breakfast and snack ready, my third daughter already went to college,” the RHOBH star said. “Then I go with a group of friends to Soul Cycle, Rumble boxing, LIT Method, which is a rowing class, or hiking. And then I get my celery juice and start my day with my work. I start early.”

No matter your age, everyone can learn something from Kyle’s fierce loyalty to feeling her best. Whatever that means to you, you owe it to yourself to chase that feeling. Thanks, girl — we really needed this inspo today.
