Sammi Sweetheart Reunites With ‘Jersey Shore’ Co-Stars At Deena Cortese’s Baby Shower!
It was a meatball party! Sammi Sweetheart has been laying low out of the spotlight ever since she chose not to return to the hit MTV reality TV series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, but just because she walked away from the show doesn’t mean she isn’t still close with her co-stars. Sammi had a mini Jersey Shore reunion with the ladies of the cast at Deena Cortese‘s baby shower on Saturday, Nov. 3, and it looked like the ladies had a blast celebrating the arrival of Deena’s first child.
Sammi took to Instagram to share two photos of her with her girls Deena, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Angelina Pivarnick. She captioned the first shot with a red heart emoji. In the second pic, she wrote, “Deena’s Baby Shower #fam” and added a smiley face emoji.
Snooki and JWoww also shared the same photo on their Instagram pages, and Snooki wrote “DEENER’S baby shower for CJ! Can’t wait to meet another addition to our family. Love these ladies so much!!!!!! #Family #MySisters” in her caption. Meanwhile, JWoww wrote, “Celebrating new life with my girls.”
It’s nice to see that she and the rest of the Jersey Shore cast are still close with Sam despite the fact that she was the only cast member who didn’t return for Seasons 1 and 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
But it seems like Snooki, JWoww, and Deena understood why Sam decided not to return. Earlier this year, Sam explained that she wanted to avoid being around her ex-boyfriend and former co-star Ronnie Oritz-Magro, whose entire tumultuous relationship played out during all six seasons of Jersey Shore.
“I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship,” she wrote on Instagram back in March. “I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS.”
