WATCHSelena Gomez Breaks Down in Concert Over Friend Christina Grimmie’s Death

Selena Gomez paid an emotional tribute to her late friend Christina Grimmie at her concert on Saturday evening.

Just hours after police sadly confirmed Christina died at age 22 from being shot at a fan meet-and-greet in Orlando, Fla. on Friday, Selena dedicated a performance of her song "Nobody" to the late singer during her June 11 show.

“When she was 14, we met [Christina] and my parents and I signed her. One thing about Christina and her family is that she holds her faith so closely to her," Selena, 23, told the crowd while holding back tears.

"And I think it’s not about a religion and it’s not about anything or good deeds. It’s just that she had faith, and I don’t really understand how this really happened, but I would like to dedicate this next song to her," she continued.
