Selena Gomez Admits She Wants to Collaborate With Eminem and Her Fans Aren’t All Happy About It
We didn’t see this coming! Selena Gomez recently spilled a bunch of truths with her fans on Twitter. During a “Stream With Selena” session she invited her Selenators to tweet her their questions. One fan asked her which artist she’d love to collaborate with and to our surprise she replied with Eminem.
That’s right. The former Disney star wants to make a song with Slim Shady. Maybe this revelation is so shocking because they usually stick to their own genres of music. Selena is straight pop while Eminem is a talented rapper. What would a collab even look like between the two? Maybe something similar to his collaboration with Rihanna on “Love the Way You Lie?” If so, then this is a duo we can get behind.
Interestingly enough, her fans were divided on whether they would support a Selena/Eminem record. One fan tweeted the star writing, “No. No no no. He’s made homophobic, racist and sexist comments wtf Selena.” While another disagreed and wrote, “Honestly, I would love to see it happen.”

It’s true that singing with Eminem would be a departure from her good-girl image but maybe that’s exactly what she’s after? She’s already revealed that her upcoming album is going to have a different sound from her previous music. She previously said, “There’s so much happening. This is the time where I can do more things and try out different things.” We wonder what Eminem thinks about all of this!
