Selena Gomez ‘Would Love to Meet the Man of Her Dreams’ in 2020: ‘Justin Is a Distant Memory’
New decade, who dis? Selena Gomez is leaving her past relationships behind and looking forward to the future.
“She’s in a great place and would love to meet the man of her dreams this year, but it isn’t her number one priority!” a source tells Life & Style exclusively. “Justin [Bieber] is a distant memory.”
While the “Lose You to Love Me” songstress, 27, is open to finding love, Selena is keeping it casual. “She’s been on a couple of dates with different guys, but right now there’s no one serious in her life,” says the insider. “She’s having fun hanging out with her closest friends.”
In fact, many of those close friends were featured in Selena’s year-end Instagram highlights, specifically on the date of Justin and Hailey Baldwin’s South Carolina wedding.
As the bride and groom said “I do” in front of their loved ones on September 30, 2019, Selena was laughing and snapping selfies with her besties. In addition to leaning on her gal pals for support, the former Disney Channel star admitted that her new album, Rare, was a great source of therapy for her.
“More than anything I feel a sense of relief,” Selena admitted to Ryan Seacrest during an October 24 radio interview.“It’s been four years since I’ve been working on this album. It’s actually perfect timing because I was going to release it two years ago. None of the words that I’m speaking would have existed so taking a moment to actually feel the feelings that I’ve gone through is just … I don’t know. I’m just so grateful that it’s out.”
Selena continued, “It’s weird because I wrote the song over a year ago — ‘Lose You to Love Me.’ It’s like I feel completely different from when I wrote it, so it’s such an interesting thing.”
