Selena Gomez *Finally* Reveals What She Was Doing on Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s Wedding Day
Not bothered? Selena Gomez *finally* revealed what she was doing during her ex Justin Bieber‘s wedding in South Carolina to Hailey Baldwin. The singer gave a very detailed look at her past year on her Instagram Story during the late hours of January 1 and included a slew of images from September 30, 2019. Not surprisingly, she spent the day surrounded by close friends.
The 27-year-old songstress shared three photos of herself from that particular day. The first was a gorgeous selfie of the starlet with her hair straightened and her flawless skin was on display. Looking good, girl!
The next two snapshots feature the former Wizards of Waverly Place star surrounded by a bunch of her female friends. The ladies looked like they enjoyed dinner and a fun game night, which included lots of laughs. The best part is that Selena appears happy and healthy in all the pictures she shared from that day.
Although Justin, 25, and the 23-year-old model officially tied the knot at an NYC courthouse in September 2018, they capped their first year of marriage with a luxe ceremony at a stunning resort in Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina. Considering their nuptials were highly publicized, we can’t imagine it was easy for his on-again, off-again ex to see. Luckily, it looks like Selena has a great group of pals to lean on if it was difficult for her.
It’s obvious that the pop star is ready to move forward. Her new album Rare drops on January 10 and her singles “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now” have received a lot of praise. Fans have theorized that the two latest tracks are about her former relationship with Justin, and Selena divulged a clue that they may be right.
“It’s been four years since I’ve been working on this album. It’s actually perfect timing because I was going to release it two years ago. None of the words that I’m speaking would have existed so taking a moment to actually feel the feelings that I’ve gone through is just … I don’t know,” she explained during her On Air With Ryan Seacrest interview on October 24. “I’m just so grateful that it’s out.”
She acknowledged that she’s moved on so the song holds a different weight these days. “It’s weird because I wrote the song over a year ago — ‘Lose You to Love Me.’ It’s like I feel completely different from when I wrote it, so it’s such an interesting thing,” Selena added. Her timing of when she jotted down the lyrics — and the line that reads, “in two months you replaced us,” — do align with her and the “Love Yourself” artist’s complicated timeline.
