She misses him. YouTuber Tana Mongeau took to her Instagram Stories to share a sweet memory of her late friend, Mac Miller, on the anniversary of his death — and she even revealed a little New York moment that made her think of the rapper that night.

“It’s funny cause my favorite thing to do with Malcolm was sit with him over that grand white piano while he played,” the 21-year-old wrote late at night on September 7, while in the city for NYFW. “Somehow I RANDOMLY ended up on a rooftop listening to someone sing and play over a big white piano … I felt like it was exactly where he’d want me to be tonight. Made my heart full.”

Hours earlier, the blonde beauty got really deep and posted a photo of the hip hop artist playing piano to her IG feed, along with a lengthy caption for her late friend.

“I’ll always hate that we’ll just dedicate this day to missing you publicly and then it’ll just feel like the whole world keeps… moving. There isn’t a second, minute, hour, or day that goes by that I wouldn’t give everything I have just to see you or hear your voice for another minute,” she wrote. “A year ago was the worst day of my life.”

i’ll always hate that we’ll just dedicate this day to missing you publicly and then it’ll just feel like the whole world keeps… moving. there isn’t a second, minute, hour, or day that goes by that i wouldn’t give everything i have just to see you or hear your voice for another minute…. a year ago was the worst day of my life. i’ll spend every day trying to put back the pieces of my heart but i don’t think they’ll ever fit right again. a year and a day ago- i had you here, laughing, smiling, cracking a joke and lighting a cigarette.. it kills me. i know you’d be mad to see me sad today or any day but honestly to have you here and even mad at me again would feel like i had the world in my hands. i’m just grateful you taught me how to be happy on the worst days.. it’s just not the same with you gone. thank you for everything you taught me on this earth and everything your words will continue to teach me. i miss you.. i love you.. forever. rest in peace to realest Angel, Malcolm James McCormick 🖤👼🏼 i promise i’ll spend the rest of my time here dedicated to your legacy… Jan 19. 1992-Sept 7. 2018 🥺🌎
