Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa Reveal They Want to ‘Screen the Next Guys’ His Ex Christina Hall Dates
Tarek El Moussa and wife Heather Rae El Moussa revealed they want to play a part in helping his ex-wife, Christina Haack (formerly known as Christina Hall), find a new partner amid her divorce from Josh Hall.
Despite not working out as a couple, Tarek, 43, and Christina, 41, have remained in each others lives as they coparent daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9. Meanwhile, they’re also appearing on HGTV’s new show The Flip Off alongside Heather, 37.
“We’re here for anything she needs, honestly,” Tarek told Access Hollywood about Christina. “I know there’s a lot of stuff going on in the world between the coparenting, but at the end of the day, we’re actually friends. We take care of each other, we’re really supportive.”
Meanwhile, Heather added that she would be willing to help Christina find a new man. “We just talked about that, actually, that we should screen all of the next guys, so I feel like we’d be good judges,” she said, insisting that she and Tarek were “up for the challenge.”
Josh filed for divorce from Christina in July, and she then filed her own paperwork one day later.
The former couple – who tied the knot in 2022 – has gone on to have a messy divorce, and they have made headlines over their disagreements regarding money and the sale of her Tennessee home.
More recently, Christina revealed that Taylor and Brayden urged her to leave Josh in a clip for The Flip Off shared by People on Thursday, December 12.
“The kids literally asked me to leave,” she told Tarek in the teaser for the show, which is set to debut in 2025. “They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?”
After confirming that she and Josh “officially split up,” Christine continued, “We had a blow up … middle fingers in my face. Things with Josh have been bad for a long time … I just feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I can’t get out of it. Everything since, like, 2016, has been so hard and so horrible. It’s really taken a really bad toll on me.”
Back in 2016, Tarek fled into a wooded area with a gun after he and Christina got into an argument while they were still married. She called 911 and local law enforcement officials were sent out in helicopters to search the area. Tarek recalled the situation in his 2024 memoir, Flip Your Life: How to Find Opportunity in Distress — in Real Estate, Business and Life, admitting he didn’t initially understand that the helicopters were looking for him.
“A police officer leaning out of the helicopter pointed a rifle at me. Dust swirled around me from the spin of the blades, and a loudspeaker crackled, ‘Get your hands in the air!’” he wrote at the time. “For the next several hours, I sat on a cooler on my driveway, handcuffed. That was the very last time we were together as a family: with Christina walking down the driveway, crying, and me sitting there in handcuffs, asking myself, ‘What in the world is going on?’”
