Former ‘Bachelorette’ Trista Sutter Was Rushed to the Hospital After Suffering Pain That Was ‘Worse Than Labor’
Former Bachelorette star Trista Sutter revealed details about being rushed to the hospital after experiencing a mysterious episode of excruciating pain in her abdomen. She shared her harrowing story in hopes to get answers.
“I’ve struggled with whether or not to do this post. I want to share my truth but not for followers or likes or any type of sympathy,” the 46-year-old admitted in a lengthy post on Instagram on August 5. “[I] actually am looking for answers. Maybe one of you has been thru something similar?”
The reality starlet continued to give a specific rundown on what happened during the evening of August 2. “I wasn’t feeling well (cough, runny nose, sinus pain) so after cheering Blakesley on at a performance, I took nighttime cold medicine [and] melatonin [and] went to bed,” she recounted. “About [two hours] later, intense pain in my upper abdomen between my ribs, woke me out of a dead sleep.”
Luckily, her husband, Ryan Sutter, was in bed next to her. “I woke Ryan up [and] told him to call 911 because I couldn’t get out of bed. I was literally writhing by the time he got on the phone with dispatch.” The ABC babe added that she had her gallbladder removed 12 years ago, but the “pain was similar to those attacks.” She also said it felt like she was “being stabbed.”
Back in 2017, Trista was hospitalized after suffering a seizure during a family trip to Croatia. This latest episode gave her terrifying flashbacks to that moment. “My hands were tingling [and] I felt like I could faint,” she continued her post on Instagram. “Honestly, I would’ve loved to faint just to not have to suffer through the pain, but the last time I ‘fainted,’ I had a seizure so that wasn’t an option.”
The Bachelor Nation alum was brought to the hospital but wasn’t able to get answers. She wrote, “They did and ECG [and] bloodwork [and] my liver, stomach [and] heart enzymes along with my electrolytes were all normal. The doctor was stumped [and] so am I.”
Needless to say, Trista is completely shaken over what happened and is desperately trying to find answers. “All I know is that I will do anything to stay alive [and] well for as long as possible for my [two] beautiful (not so little anymore) babies [and] their daddy,” she ended the post while rallying fans to share if they have any insight.
