Venus Williams Is ‘Head Over Heels’ for Boyfriend Andrea Preti Amid Engagement Rumors
Venus Williams is sparking engagement rumors with boyfriend Andrea Preti – flashing a diamond band on her left finger – and an exclusive Life & Style source weighs in on the pair’s status while revealing how they go to extreme lengths to keep their romance private.
“Venus hasn’t made any announcements, but it’s assumed by a lot of people in her circle that they are engaged and it’s only a matter of time before she confirms it,” the source dishes to Life & Style. “The word is he proposed on their trip to the Bahamas, but so far Venus seems to want to keep people guessing. One thing’s for sure, she’s head over heels for Andrea.”
The insider reveals that the couple has been “joined at the hip the last six months, and she’s been incredibly happy the whole time.”
Andrea, 36, treats the tennis superstar “like a princess, and he’s very romantic.” Not to mention, his good looks prove he’s Venus’ type, as he is a former model, like a few of her exes.
“She’s been having a wonderful time in Italy with him, he comes to see her train and then they go on tours of the city,” the source continues, noting that “it’s been a long time since she had a serious relationship and she’s definitely wanting to get married, so if she is engaged, it won’t surprise anyone.”
Venus, 44, and the actor had fans wide-eyed after The Shade Room shared PDA photos of the pair in Rome on February 5. The cozy snapshot was a headline-making moment in itself, however, people nearly spit out their coffee when they noticed a massive diamond ring on her engagement finger, quickly igniting speculation that Andrea popped the big question.
The outlet also shared a video of the couple, in which Andrea showcased his support for Venus, embracing her during her breaks while at tennis practice.
“I love this for her,” a fan wrote in the comments section of the post.
A second person joked, “Does hinge allow you to set the location in Italy from the states? Lol asking for a friend.”
Neither Venus nor Andrea have addressed the engagement speculation.
Although it’s unclear when the couple started dating, they were first spotted in public while enjoying a romantic boat ride to lunch in Italy in July 2024. In the photos, shared by celebrity blind-item gossip account DeuxMoi, Andrea had no problem showing his affection to Venus and even gave her a princess treatment massage while at the table of their waterside meal. Venus donned a casual metallic gold dress for the outing and pulled her hair back in a bun. Andrea also dressed in a relaxed style as he exposed his torso while his white top was unbuttoned and his gorgeous curly fell down his forehead.
“Go where you’re celebrated not tolerated. IKDR [I know that’s right],” a fan gushed in the comments section. A separate follower wrote, “Liberally embracing her raw beauty, completely content in her state of pleasure and relaxation. How erotic!”
