If you’re a Vanderpump Rules fan, one thing you probably want to know is … when the heck are costars and married couple Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz going to start a family?! The sweet couple have long been on fans minds as far as “next steps” go (cough cough those marriage ultimatums), but luckily for us, the 36-year-old TomTom owner let Life & Style in exclusively on he and his wife’s potential baby-makin’ plans.

“There have been tentative talks but no formal agreements,” the 36-year-old jokester revealed. “I say within three years we’ll probably knock out a baby or two. I don’t know! There’s a lot of things we’re excited about professionally that we want to get going. I want to see a little more of the world and I just want to be selfish a little longer before I have a kid.”

Hey, it’s understandable. These Bravo TV stars still have a lot of living to do, but at least we know they’re thinking about the big milestones.“I love kids,” he continued. “Right now we have our fur babies, Gordo and Butter, so we’re happy about that.” Any self-respecting Pump Rules stan knows Gordo and Butter might even trump Lisa Vanderpump‘s beloved dog, Giggy, for cutest pup. They’re just so cute and curly, OK?

It’s really great to see Tom and Katie, 33, embracing their marriage after it took them a while to finally make the monumental step. But according to the bartender, it was all down to the timing — which, honestly, goes for a lot of the best things in life.

“I don’t think it’s marriage, per se, that changed us, I just think it came at a great time,” he explained. “I remember so many people leading up to the wedding telling me I’d never be ready, but like there was a moment in which I was ready but I wasn’t ready up until that very moment — not a day before. I’m glad we waited until we were both ready and on the same page.”

Plus, it’s made them experts in the area of problem-solving, as most important relationships tend to do. “I think we’ve just grown in terms of conflict resolution,” he said. “Everyone bickers from time to time but we don’t let it fester, we don’t hold grudges, and overall we’re just more loving and laid back as a couple. Way more laid back!”
