Where Was Justin Bieber While Hailey Walked 2025 Met Gala Red Carpet? His Location Revealed
Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) walked solo at the 2025 Met Gala and fans were wondering why her husband, Justin Bieber, wasn’t by her side. The biggest night in fashion wasn’t on the Grammy-winning artist’s priority list, as he instead cheered on his favorite ice hockey team during their playoff game.
While Hailey, 28, was enjoying the elite festivities inside the Met Gala on Monday, May 5, Justin, 31, was lounging in the comfort of his home while watching the Toronto Maple Leafs take on and beat the Florida Panthers during the first game of the playoffs.
The “Love Yourself” singer shared content via Instagram of his at-home watch party, where he hung out with a few friends. Justin watched the sporting event while relaxing on a luxurious sunken couch with a view of the mountains and changed rooms when he moved to the home theatre.
Justin donned grey sweatpants and multiple jackets, a different aesthetic than Hailey’s ensemble, while celebrating the Met Gala theme Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
The Rhode founder wore a black Saint Laurent blazer. That’s it, no pants. Hailey paired the look with a show-stopping diamond necklace, black sheer tights and matching open-toed sparkly heels.
After making her way up the Met steps, Hailey was joined by bestie Kendall Jenner during an interview with Emma Chamberlain. The Kardashians star was also wearing a take on a blazer look and donned a grey skirt suit designed by Torishéju Dumi.
Emma, 23, pointed out Kendall, 29, and Hailey’s twinning moment, which they revealed was unintentional.
“I feel like we have similar taste sometimes, so it happens,” Kendall said, leading Hailey to add, “You know, a lot of people say we’re like Golden Retriever and black cat. And I think that’s very, very true.”
Back at home, Justin was in awe of his wife’s Met Gala look, and shared endless photos of Hailey’s Met Gala photos on his Instagram Stories.
On Tuesday, May 6, Justin shared a photo of Hailey in her Met Gala outfit while posing outside her hotel, and a second of her sexy pre-Met FW24 Faded Roles dress designed by Dilara Findikoglu.
“Tell em uncle Charlie,” Justin captioned the post.
The A-list couple attended the Met Gala together one time in 2021. Justin and Hailey wore chic black ensembles while dressing for the theme of In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
The “Baby” singer wore a sleek suit with a white undershirt that peeked through the deep neckline and wrists. Hailey, for her part, wore a strapless YSL dress with a plunging cloudy neckline and bedazzled trim.
During a moment on the carpet, Justin helped Hailey with an issue on her face. Photos of the moment circulated, leading rumors to spread that she was crying because people were chanting Justin’s ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez’s name.
“The whole thing of everybody being like, ‘Oh he’s trying to tell her not to cry.’ That was not true. It wasn’t making me cry,” Hailey told Alex Copper during a September 2022 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
She later added, “I felt like I had something in my eye. See, that’s what goes to show you how out of context things can be seen.”
