Kim Turnbull Was Born Into the Music Industry
The English native grew up around the spotlight, as her father is Alex Turnbull, founder of the U.K. hip-hop music label Ronin Records. Prior to launching the label, Alex and his brother, Johnny Turnbull, were members of the post-punk band 23 Skidoo.
The family was gifted the creative genes of Kim’s late grandfather, William Turnbull, who was a famous sculptor and painter.
What Is Kim Turnbull’s Job?
Kim is a DJ who is often booked and busy. The musician found her love for DJing as a child, listening to mixes curated by her dad, whom she calls “a sick DJ.”
“We always had a sick vinyl set up, but when I started showing a proper interest in it, he got some CDJs in the house when I still lived with my parents, and it was a wrap from then!” Kim reflected during a 2023 interview with Ellesse. “I actually never thought I’d do it professionally. It just happened really naturally for me, I was practicing every day during COVID and then, one day, I started getting offered jobs and I realized, ‘Oh – I can actually make money from doing something I enjoy and feels like fun,’ which was mad. I’d been DJing for 2 years, probably before I even took a proper job, because I didn’t want to rush it.”
Kim rocked the DJ booth at KOKO Electronic in May 2025 and Gucci.
When Kim is not on stage in front of a crowd, she’s posing for the camera when she models.

Romeo subtly included a photo of Kim in a November 2024 Instagram photo dump of a trip to New York City. In the snapshot, Kim wore a New York Yankees baseball cap and pulled down the bill of the hat to hide her face.
Four months later, Kim accompanied Romeo to his famous mom Victoria Beckham’s Paris Fashion Week show.
In April 2025, TMZ reported that Romeo’s public and growing relationship with Kim caused a rift in his relationship with Brooklyn, who is married to wife Nicola Peltz.
“There’s no ill will toward Romeo himself, Brooklyn just doesn’t approve of Kim dating him,” a source told the outlet.
In the weeks that followed, Romeo and his younger brother, Cruz Beckham, ignited feud rumors when Cruz mocked a comment that Nicola previously wrote on Romeo’s ex-girlfriend Mia Regan’s Instagram post. Not to mention, Brooklyn and Nicola skipped family patriarch David Beckham’s handful of lavish 50th birthday celebrations.
Us Weekly reported on May 6, 2025, that Brooklyn and Nicola demanded “special treatment” from David and Victoria, and requested that they celebrate his birthday separately.
“David and Victoria are over it. They’ve thrown in the towel over the whole thing,” a source told the outlet at the time. “David and Victoria just want to treat everyone the same and approach life like a family and the family does things a certain way. But Brooklyn isn’t playing it like that, and everything is a drama.”
