Jenna Dewan’s Fiance Steve Kazee Is an Award-Winning Actor and Singer
He’s a keeper! Jenna Dewan‘s fiancé, Steve Kazee, stepped into the spotlight long before he settled down with the dancer. In fact, Steve, who shares son Callum Michael Rebel with Jenna, has been working in Hollywood as a singer and actor since the early 2000s. Steve Kazee went to school for acting:
There are numerous ways entertainers get their foot in the door. For Steve, it all began after he got his MFA from NYU’s graduate acting program in 2002. Afterward, he booked a few roles — both on TV and on Broadway.
However, it wasn’t until 2011 that Steve got his big break thanks to the stage adaptation of Once. He played the main character, Guy, which led him to win the 2012 Tony Award for Best Performance in a Lead Musical.
The entire cast was also recognized for their musical talent and won the Tony Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2013.
As for television roles, Steve has appeared on NCIS, Working Class, Drop Dead Diva, Legends, Shameless and more.

If you’re a Twihard, you may have noticed that Steve was featured in Christina Perri‘s second version of “A Thousand Years” for Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Though the first version of the track, which was released in 2011 for Breaking Dawn Part 1, is more widely known, the version with Steve is more stripped down, and perfectly puts his awesome vocals on display.
Steve Kazee was in a long-term relationship before Jenna:
Steve and Jenna took their romance in public in December 2018, eight months after the Step Up alum’s split from husband Channing Tatum. Jenna and Channing share a daughter named Everly.
For Steve’s part, he was in a relationship with Smash’s Megan Hilty for six years. Despite calling it quits, they appear to be amicable. “The lessons I’ve learned about my time with Megan, six wonderful years, will live with me forever,” Steve told Blouin Artinfo in 2013. “I have zero angst or anxiety about her. She’s a warm, caring, immensely talented, lovely human being.”
Steve Kazee proposed to Jenna in February 2020:
“When you wake in the morning, I will kiss your face with a smile no one has ever seen. When you wake in the morning, I will kiss your eyes and say it’s you I have loved all these years,” Steve captioned the pair’s engagement announcement with lyrics from Water Liars’ “Let It Breathe.”
As for their wedding plans, Jenna said she and Steve “are still in the planning [and] talking about it mode” during a November 2021 interview with Us Weekly. “It’s all being worked out.”
