Jordan Kimball Is Looking for Love on ‘BIP’ Again — Here’s What Went Wrong With Jenna Cooper After Last Season
Tick tock let’s make it rock (again.) Jordan Kimball is returning for season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise, and hopefully he’ll have better luck this time! He got engaged to Jenna Cooper on the finale of the hit show in 2018, but a few days later on Sept. 12, 2018, he revealed that he decided to break up with the blonde bombshell. If you need a refresher, here’s why they split.
Jordan and Jenna seemed head over heels after the BIP finale, but then came the shocking cheating allegations and leaked texts that seemed to show that she was using him for attention. Fans first started to speculate that there was trouble in paradise when Jordan and Jenna were both radio silent during the finale. They didn’t post loving pics after their proposal like every other couple, and they didn’t respond to requests for comment. Jenna eventually publicly denied the claims against her, but Jordan had already removed all of their photos together. The next day, he posted a lengthy message on Instagram, confirming their split.
“When you’re in love with even the experiences you’ve had with them, it’s something to respect,” he wrote. “Being careless with someone that you give your heart to and reach milestones with isn’t sensible, no matter what the terms may be.” He went on to describe that though he hasn’t had an easy life, he knows how to deal with problems, and he made the tough decision in this case. “I have come to terms with a decision to remove myself from the relationship,” he said. “It breaks my heart to think, feel, and fall for this. It’s dropped me. Fumbling emotions and being understanding is not easy.”
Not long after, Jenna took to Instagram to release a lengthy statement defending herself, and she hinted that the couple was trying to work through their issues amid her alleged cheating scandal. “To Jordan, our families, friends, and supporters: please stand by as I prepare to provide the true facts that will demonstrate the fraud perpetrated by terrible individuals,” Jenna wrote.
“And to Jordan, I am sorry that horrible people have used fabricated, hateful efforts to come between us,” she continued. “I promise you that the truth will be set free in the coming weeks, and it will unquestionably be to your satisfaction. I look forward to returning to a place of happiness, joy, moving forward with Jordan, and life … knowing that everyone knows the truth.”
Despite Jenna’s denial, Jordan had the most support from all of his Bachelor Nation friends. “We got your back. Always,” wrote Kevin Wendt. Colton Underwood also sent his love, writing, “Love you bro.” BIP bartender Wells Adams said, “I’ve always got your back and if you need a drink, I got you.” Bekah Martinez wrote, “You are a shining star. We all love you a ton. You are strong and brave and honest, and you deserve a woman who will see that.”
However, things took an even more intense turn when Jenna turned against Jordan, later accusing him of setting her up. In October of 2018, she revealed that she sent her phone for forensic analysis and that it revealed a “huge twist.” Less than a week later, Jordan posted screenshots of an email from Jenna’s lawyer, threatening to expose him for “fabricating” the leaked texts if he didn’t tell the world that he believed Jenna didn’t cheat. While nothing ever came of that, Jenna did an Instagram Live chat in November saying, “Maybe I didn’t handle the situation right. I wish I would’ve had somebody on my side.”
Things got tense again in May 2019, when Jenna announced an upcoming tell-all book. “I’m no longer under contract, and I am ready to share the details,” she told Us Weekly. “I know America has heard some of the obnoxious lies about me from Bachelor Nation’s most thirsty contestants and gossip blogs. But now it’s my turn.” In response, Jordan told Life & Style, “It’s almost been a year and she is still at it. What a nightmare. I never threw a stone at her but she uses terms such as ‘bullying.”‘
