The scandal that shook Bachelor Nation. Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise ended with the engagement of Jenna Cooper and Jordan Kimball. Their relationship exploded into oblivion when leaked text messages allegedly from Jenna’s phone revealed that she was cheating. It was shocking, and Jenna immediately jumped on the defensive to clear her name.

We heard the term “forensic evidence” more times than an episode of Law & Order: SVU, and Jenna seemingly got the evidence to clear her name. Although the dust has settled and people are looking forward to Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, Jenna is still recovering.

She took to Instagram to give her perspective of the events that happened. She did admit during the video, “Maybe I didn’t handle the situation right.” She continued, “I wish I would’ve had somebody on my side.”

Jenna continued to give her version of the situation and said she “reached out to people who were involved” which we can only assume is Jordan. She explained, “I didn’t have a boyfriend. I didn’t have a sugar daddy. I wasn’t cheating. I wasn’t doing anything except waiting for the show to be over so we could actually attempt to have a relationship in real life.”

She claims that after the text messages leaked, she thought the whole situation would be deemed fake and cleared up within a day, but was surprised to find herself “dumped on social media.”  Jenna said she found herself in a very “sad and messed up situation.”

“It’s really hard to prove something that didn’t happen,” she continued. “Maybe I’m not a perfect person. I have my issues. But, I am an extremely loyal person. If I didn’t want to be with someone, I would just break up with them. I wouldn’t cheat on them.”

As far as ever having a future with Jordan, the reality star said, “No, I don’t think we’ll ever get back together. Obviously, the trust is broken there. We probably both didn’t handle it right. It’s sad, but hopefully, we can both move on and be happy.”

Although Jenna says she “cannot apologize for something I didn’t do,” she did want to offer her condolences to fans because “you lost your love story.” No matter whose side you’re on, it looks like the reality starlet is back on the upswing and ready to leave the drama behind.
