She’s clearing the air! The highly anticipated Women Tell All special is airing March 5, and Bachelor contestant Elyse Dehlbom unfortunately won’t be making an appearance. So, what’s the deal? Colton Underwood’s former flame explained her reason for skipping out and TBH, it’s totally legit.

“Women Tell All airs tonight! I would have loved to reconnect with the cast, @coltonunderwood and the incredible @bachelorabc team,” she began. “But I was too busy getting slapped in the face by the potential for my own happily ever after.” In the clip, Elyse is trying to catch a bouquet at a wedding. “You can see more about my thoughts on being a part of this season of the Bachelor in my story!”

Several fans were showing support to the reality star in the comments after finding out why she was a no-show. “So wanted you to be the ONE. Keeping my fingers crossed for your Happily Ever After,” one chimed in. Another added, “I’m a huge fan. I found you to be such a beautiful person inside and out. I wish you love and happiness.” The special was filmed on February 22 and after the taping, Onyeka gave more insight as to why Elyse wasn’t going to be making an appearance.

“She’s at a wedding!” Onyeka told Entertainment Tonight. “It was one of her best friends. [Elyse] was in the wedding in Mexico. This wedding was like, before the show even aired or started filming. She was like, ‘I have a wedding this weekend in February. I have a feeling Women Tell All is gonna be then.'”

Even though things didn’t work out between Elyse and Colton, she has no regrets. This was the first time she dated a younger man and she stayed true to herself by walking away when she didn’t feel confident about their relationship. Taking to Instagram Stories, the ABC alum confirmed that she has no bad blood with the other ladies, or even Colton, after they parted ways.

“First off, I learned more about myself and what I want from a partner in weeks on this show than I have in quite some time … It afforded me the opportunity to take a long look in the mirror and see what I needed to work on, to be the type of person my future partner deserves,” she wrote. “I left in a lot of tears, and a dress that while I loved may have looked a bit like a wedding gown … However, I have no doubts that I was supposed to be on this season of The Bachelor.
