If Swifties were holding their breath to see Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce on the red carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards, they should let it out now. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end isn’t on Taylor’s arm at the awards ceremony and fans are curious as to why.

For the third year in a row, Travis and his teammates are headed to the Super Bowl. This means while Taylor finds out if she breaks her own record by winning her fifth Album of the Year award, Travis will be preparing for the big game with his teammates, according to an article from TMZ Sports published on January 31, 2025.
Was Travis Kelce at the 2024 Grammy Awards With Taylor Swift?
The “New Heights” host also wasn’t present at the 2024 Grammy Awards for the same reason, but it ultimately worked out for the best. The “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” singer flew back from Tokyo the night before in order to watch the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers, and Travis and company came out on top.
Taylor watched the matchup in Las Vegas alongside friends Blake Lively, Ice Spice and Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry. Afterward, the Miss Americana star was spotted celebrating with Travis, his brother, Jason Kelce, and more.
Have Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Ever Walked a Red Carpet Together?
Even though the “Speak Now” singer and Travis have been dating since the summer of 2023, they still have yet to make an official red carpet appearance at any major event. However, that doesn’t mean the couple has been keeping their relationship out of the spotlight.
Taylor has been a staple at several of Travis’ Chiefs games over the past two seasons. In fact, several football fans had gripes about the NFL cameras showing the pop star during games and claimed that it took attention away from the sport being played on the field.
Taylor addressed the complaints during her interview as Time’s Person of the Year in 2023.
“There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once,” she said at the time. “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.”
However, her words didn’t appear to deter the critics and in October 2024, Los Angeles Rams’ quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, admitted she was tired of seeing Taylor in the stands at Chiefs games.
“Now, I have never once said I didn’t like Taylor Swift — ever,” Kelly, 34, said during an episode of her “The Morning After” podcast. “But I will say I kind of got tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of it — actually the NFL’s coverage — of this budding relationship last year. And, can she do anything about that? No, she can’t.”
Kelly continued, “It was a good business decision for the NFL, but I almost felt like it was outshining the games. And that’s what bothered me. I was a little jealous of the fact that they were getting all this attention and all of a sudden the football game was the sideshow. So yeah, maybe I let jealousy get the best of me.”
