Ariana Grande Answers Once And For All If She And Ricky Alvarez Will Ever Get Back Together
Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh. Hmm, that doesn’t seem good. Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez dated for about a year in 2015 before calling it quits, but still remain good friends to this day. So, is there any possibility of these two rekindling a romance? It falls somewhere between no and never, according to Ariana.
Ricky posted a photo of himself on Instagram looking handsome with buzzed blonde hair and a mustard-colored sweater with the caption, “Ready for it.” He accompanied the look with a gold necklace as he stood in front of an old Cadillac. V classy, Ricky.
Ariana simply commented, “these colors are sick,” and Fans. Went. Nuts. Comments referring to the two as “Rickiana” flooded the post. One comment said, “Ariana is DEFINITELY ready for this,” and someone else quipped, “We’re so ready for Rickiana.”
A Ricky and Ariana fan page (those are still a thing?) commented asking what the deal was and the “God Is A Woman” singer responded by saying, “We’re friends everyone take a big ol breather.” Well, there you go. Just keep breathin’ and breathin’ because these two are strictly friends.
It’s not super surprising considering Ari says she laughs at the songs she wrote about him in “thank u, next.” After the song was released, Ricky took to Instagram to share his surprised reaction. No saltiness between these exes, though. Ariana immediately re-shared the video and wrote, “HAHAHAHA IM SORRY U GOT THE WORST LINE @rickyrozay it was meant v lovingly.” It’s all in good fun, right?
While Ricky seems like a great guy, Ariana is ready to take some time for herself. “I look forward to hopefully learning to give some of the love and forgiveness that I’ve given away so frivolously and easily to men in the past to myself, hopefully, this year,” she said during her speech for Billboard‘s Woman of the Year.
Honestly, we’re so good with that.
