A new era? “It won’t be the last you see of the Kardashians. There’s already been talk of specials and a spinoff,” an insider exclusively tells Life & Style about the famous family following news Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been canceled after 14 years. “There’s a generation that grew up with the Kardashian brand, and Kris [Jenner] and Kim [Kardashian] are determined to not let that legacy end.”

The longtime E! reality show may be ending after 20 seasons, but the momager, 64, has been hard at work figuring out the future. “Kris is all about being relevant and that means staying in the public eye,” adds the insider. “So, it’s no surprise that she’s been busy making deals to assure that there’s always going to be a Kardashian or a Jenner show of some kind on the air.”

While the source notes Kim, 39, and Khloé Kardashian, 36, could team up for something new, it’s also possible the KKW Beauty founder would do a show based around her own family life with husband Kanye West and their four kids — North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. “Her children will absolutely follow in the family business, even though Kanye opposes it at times. Those kids are headed for stardom,” the insider notes.

KUWTK, which premiered in October 2007, has already produced 12 spinoffs, including Kourtney and Kim Take New YorkFlip It Like DisickKourtney and Khloé Take MiamiKhloé and LamarI Am CaitDASH Dolls, Life of KylieRob & Chyna and Revenge Body.

Time will tell what the future holds, but fans are currently mourning the loss of KUWTK after news broke on September 8 that it was going off the air. “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” a statement first posted by Kim began.

The message continued, “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spinoff shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”

It’s a new chapter!
