She's not out of the woods yet! Former Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has been battling cancer in the hospital for the past two months, and it seems like she was faced with a major setback just before she got the clear to finally leave. Doctors suggested that Abby undergo one more surgery, and she took to Instagram on Saturday, June 30 to share an update on her recovery.

"After the [second] surgery, my back is finally on the mend," the 51-year-old wrote in the caption of a rather graphic photo of her surgery scar on her bac. "I just wish the top section [and] bottom would hurry along too! I had 52 staples perfectly aligned and now a bunch of crazy stitches are holding my neck [and] lumbar region together!"

Abby has been giving her fans regular updates on her progess from the hospital ever since she was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma — which is a form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma — back in April. When she first started complaining about her symptoms like extreme neck pain and paralyzation, doctors thought she was suffering from a rare spinal infection. But after her first emergency surgery, they found out that cancer was the real cause of Abby's illness. She had been undergoing treatments like chemotherapy and radiation and it seemed like she was almost ready to leave when she found out that she had to go under the knife again.

"After another two-hour MRI this morning, the pros thought I needed one more quick little emergency surgery! Ugh!" Abby wrote in the caption of a photo of an IV going into her arm on Instagram. "I’m in recovery now and texting so everything must be ok, just hiccups in my plans!"

Abby's plans seem to be to get back to work as soon as possible! In recent weeks, she's been teasing a new book and a return to Season 8 of her hit Lifetime reality TV series, Dance Moms.
