Premiere night of The Bachelor will kick off Colton Underwood‘s journey to find love, but it’s also a very important chapter for Bachelor Nation alum Arie Luyendyk Jr. and his fiancé, Lauren Burnham. The couple announced that they will be doing their gender reveal sometime during the premiere night on Jan. 7 and we’re so excited.
January (aka Janu-Arie) is a big month for the couple. Arie kicked off his own season of The Bachelor last year on Jan. 1, the couple is set to tie the knot in Hawaii on Jan. 12, and now they’ll be revealing the sex of their baby. If Arie doesn’t make some major life announcement, does January even happen at all?
While answering fan questions on his Instagram story, Arie revealed that he and Lauren will appear on The Bachelor premiere to share their exciting news. During the Q&A, Arie also dished that their little bundle of joy is due during the first week of May.
Things are really moving along for the lovebirds. On a recent Instagram post, the couple dished that their baby is the size of a “turnip” right now. “Mom felt me kick for the first time and I’m planning on doing that some more,” they captioned the sweet photo of Lauren’s baby bump.
It seems like the two are definitely looking forward to parenthood. When a fan asked Arie what’s making him the most excited about becoming a father, he wrote, “So many things but mostly doing this together with her. I can’t wait to meet this little person that has already grabbed our hearts.” Aww, Arie.
As far as the unexpected baby news, they couldn’t be more thrilled about the timing. Another person asked if they considered moving the wedding up when they found out about Lauren’s pregnancy. “We were fairly certain every[one] out there would be able to do the math,” Arie hilariously wrote. “Plus we aren’t ashamed, we are thankful. And sooooo dang excited.”
It looks like these two are going to make great parents. As for their gender reveal? Whether it’s a boy or girl, that baby will be gorgeous!
