Ashley Graham Is Struggling With ‘Unnatural Heartburn’ During Pregnancy: ‘Damn, 8 Months!’
Hang in there, mama! Ashley Graham took to her Instagram Story to get real about the not-so-pleasant side effects of pregnancy. “The amount of heartburn that I have is … unnatural,” the longtime model, 32, explained on Wednesday, December 4. “I just ordered papaya extract because, apparently, that’s supposed to help it, but damn, eight months! You gonna come through with the heartburn?!”
By the end of the clip, Ashley’s sense of humor totally came through, and it became clear that she was actually handling her discomfort like a champ! The Nebraska native, who is expecting a baby boy with husband Justin Ervin in 2020, has been incredibly transparent with fans about her journey toward motherhood over the past few weeks.
During a November 15 episode of her online video series, Fearless, Ashley told the emotional backstory behind her first-ever nude pregnancy photo. “I had just announced that I was pregnant and I thought I was [going to] feel good … and I didn’t. I just felt terrible,” Ashley told guest Taylor Hoit.
“That morning actually, I really thought to myself, ‘Get it together, Ashley. There are other women out there who are going through the same thing as you,’” she continued. “‘Why don’t you have a dialogue with them? This is a new body that I’m walking into. Why don’t I just put myself out there with this new body?’”
Thankfully, Ashley’s initial “terrible” feelings fell by the wayside and she began to fully embrace her changing body. “Ashley’s showed her fans and the world that being pregnant can be glorious,” a source exclusively told Life & Style. “She’s not only calm and actually glowing, but she feels sexy. She’s doing yoga, posing on red carpets in gorgeous clothes [and] she’s feeling herself like never before.”
