Spoiler Alert‘Bachelorette’ Hannah Brown Privately Reacts to Reports Jed Wyatt Had a Girlfriend
There’s been a shocking new development. Fans were blown away when it was reported that Bachelorette contestant Jed Wyatt was allegedly four months into a relationship with a Nashville-based musician when he left to join the cast, seemingly hoping to find love with Hannah Brown. To get you up to speed, Jed’s alleged ex-girlfriend, Haley Stevens, claimed they were dating when he left to be on the show. Haley also said they were planning to stay together because he was just going on to promote his music, something he admitted to Hannah during their first-one-on-one date. Haley assumed he was just “faking” dating Hannah for TV, as they had previously said “I love you” during a Bahamas trip before he went away, but she grew more anxious as time passed.
It was later revealed that Jed and Hannah are engaged. Now, the Bachelorette is reacting to the surprising reports, according to an update from Reality Steve. In a message posted to Twitter on Thursday, June 27, he dropped a major bombshell about the status of their relationship.
“I can confirm that Hannah broke off her engagement to Jed earlier this week,” the tweet began. “They are still ‘together,’ but the engagement is off. This isn’t a ‘don’t ever talk to me again’ from what I’m being told, but it’s also not all rainbows and daffodils either,” he spilled.
That same day, Haley shared more details about what happened while Jed was still filming. “The night of the premiere, Hannah’s brother [Patrick] followed me on Instagram,” the country songstress told Reality Steve during his podcast that went live on June 27.
Haley also shared her reaction to everything that’s happened recently. “I’m sure Hannah is heartbroken after seeing this. I don’t know if she knew, if she didn’t, if she was blindsided, I can’t even begin to know,” Haley exclusively told Life & Style about how she feels for Hannah, noting how finding out about their engagement was “unbelievably painful” for her. Even so, Haley doesn’t blame Jed for catching feelings for the Bachelorette, adding, “I hope it is real.”
