Who Is Hannah Brown? ‘Bachelor’ Contestant on Colton’s Season Was Miss Alabama in 2018
This season of The Bachelor has been filled with plenty of drama, and a lot of it revolved around miss Hannah Brown! While fans are still waiting to find out if Colton Underwood will find a wife, many have turned their attention to who will become the next Bachelorette, and rumor has it that Hannah is high on top of the list! If you haven’t been paying attention to the southern beauty, we have everything you need to know about the 2018 Miss Alabama.
The 24-year-old is from Tuscaloosa, AL, and graduated from the University of Alabama magna cum laude in 2017. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications and information sciences. The blonde beauty has been competing in pageants since she was 15 years old.
“My family has seen me grow significantly because of being in pageantry,” she told the Alabama NewsCenter in May 2018. “I have been able to talk to really anybody from all aspects of life. It has given me a lot of confidence in times when there is both positive and negative light shed on me.”
However, it wasn’t always easy for the Alabama native. “It was kind of discouraging,” she admitted. “People always have an opinion about what you do, what you say, how you walk, how you dress. I took the wrong outlook on what pageantry should be — I thought my self-worth was through recognition.”
Since she struggled with anxiety and depression, Hannah had to step away from pageant competitions for a little bit. “In that moment, it is so hard to see joy in life. I can remember times where I didn’t want to get up,” she confessed.
Luckily, she got right back on the horse! “It was a whirlwind coming back into it … [but] I was 100 percent Hannah and didn’t have a care in the world, and that’s why I think I won,” she said. While she was competing as Miss Alabama at Miss USA, she met Caelynn Miller-Keyes, who would also become a contestant for Colton’s love.
The two butted heads early in the season, when Hannah went to Colton to warn him that Caelynn was manipulative. This lead to two episodes of back and forth, with the two eventually deciding to put their drama to rest. Hannah went on to become the first woman to tell Colton she was falling in love with him, which made it even more crushing when he eliminated her right before hometown dates.
As soon as Hannah was eliminated, rumors began that she could potentially become the next Bachelorette. Her bright personality, great sense of humor, and willingness to try anything make her a great candidate, but her sincere desire to find a life partner makes her even more perfect. We can’t wait to see more from Hannah Beast!
