At this point in The Bachelor, fans start to frantically root for who they want to be the next lead, and right now, Caelynn Miller-Keyes is getting a lot of love. Unfortunately, though, she may have also found herself in a spot of hot water. In Access Hollywood‘s new exclusive clip for the Monday, February 18 episode, her fellow contestant, Tayshia Adams, tells Colton Underwood that the former beauty pageant contestant is ready to set down her crown and pick up a whole bunch of roses to hand out. So what’s going on — and does Caelynn stand a chance? Here’s what we know so far.

Caelynn has some famous fans rooting for her.

Fellow members of Bachelor Nation think the star would make a great lead — and they’ve been rooting for her for a while. Evan Bass has become a fan favorite of the franchise after becoming one half of Bachelor in Paradise‘s sweetest success stories, and he’s throwing his full weight behind the idea of Bachelorette Caelynn. “If Caelynn isn’t the Bachelorette, I will quite this franchise forever and never let my child be on the first episode of #TheBachelor again until next season,” he joked on Twitter in all caps.

At least one of Becca Kufrin‘s suitors agrees. BIP star Connor Obrochta also thinks she’s got a good chance. “If Caelynn doesn’t win … the next Bachelorette #TheBachelor #callingit,” he Tweeted on January 28. Plenty of fans agree with the stars. In addition to thousands of likes on Evan’s tweet and hundreds on Connor’s, even more fans have shared their own messages of support and predictions. “Cassie for the dub, Caelynn the next bachelorette! Just facts!” commented on fan of the show. “I bet you $200 Caelynn will be the next bachelorette,” added another. A third wrote, “Cassie and Caelynn are my favorites from The Bachelor and they are best friends. If one of them doesn’t win, they better be the Bachelorette.” It sounds like they might have had the same idea.

Caelynn may find herself in hot water this week.

When Tayshia tells Colton that she and Cassie were talking about being the Bachelorette, it’s not exactly music to his ears. “So, I’ve heard some girls aren’t in this for possibly the right reasons,” Tayshia says. “Cassie and Caelynn, you know, they’re already talking about being the next Bachelorette. And they also have said that they don’t think they’re going to be ready to get engaged at the end of this.” Colton is clearly upset by her words — and when he steps out side later, he straight up says, “Ohhh, f–k. This sucks.” He continues, “This was my greatest fear. I had no questions for Caelynn and Cassie, and now I do.”

Though it’s no shock to any audience member that some contestants go on the show hoping to become the next lead, it’s never a good look to be caught openly discussing it. And if that’s the case, Caelynn’s chances might be hurt by her scheming. After all, if she’s not genuinely into Colton but just faking her feelings so that she can go further in the competition, it won’t exactly win her any fans. Then again, plenty of fans seemed to think that Colton only went on The Bachelorette for fame, and that didn’t stop him from becoming the show’s lead. Even his ex, Tia Booth, thought he was on the show for the wrong reasons. The possibility that Caelynn’s had this particular goal in mind might just mean that she’s a step ahead of the competition.

She’s strong enough to be the lead.

Part of being the Bachelorette is having the emotional strength to manage dating (and dumping!) a whole bunch of different guys. And as we learned on The Bachelor, Caelynn has strength in spades. A sexual assault survivor, she opened up to Colton during the evening portion of her one-on-one date about how she had been drugged and assaulted by men she thought were her friends during college. Seeking justice, she decided to go to the police, and in the years since, she’s also become an advocate. In addition to being brave enough to talk about it on national TV with Colton, she’s also spoken about her experience during the pageant circuit as Miss North Carolina 2018. But it’s also not the only interesting thing about her. “I like to be happy and goofy and fun, it’s a dark part of my history but I am not going to let it diminish me and who I am,” she told Colton.

Who are you rooting for as the next star of The Bachelorette?
