The Bachelorette’s Desiree Hartsock Gives Birth to Baby No. 3 With Chris Siegfried at Age 38
Desiree Siegfried (née Hartsock) and husband Chris Siegfried are parents once again! The couple – who met on season 9 of The Bachelorette – welcomed baby No. 3 on November 5 and announced the news one week later on Tuesday, November 12.
“O N E week with Noah Parker & our hearts will never be the same,” Desiree, 38, announced on Instagram, along with multiple emojis. “We’re doing well & getting adjusted to a family of 5. He’s just as sweet as can be!! And looks just like his brothers.”
She also shared a montage of photos and videos from Noah’s first few days at home, including pictures with his older brothers, mom and dad. Desiree and Chris, 38, are also parents to sons Asher, 8, and Zander, 5. The family lives in Portland, Oregon.
Although Des and Chris have retreated to Oregon and live a much more low-key life these days, their relationship started on reality television in 2013. After appearing on Sean Lowe’s season of The Bachelor, Desiree became the Bachelorette and chose Chris at the final rose ceremony. They got engaged on the show and married in January 2015.
Fans were thrilled when Desiree announced that she and her husband would be expanding their family. She shared the news via Instagram in May, just weeks after her 38th birthday. “Something’s brewing.. & it’s not my coffee,” Desiree captioned a social media post, which showed her drinking coffee as the camera panned down to reveal her baby bump. “Baby #3 coming this November.”
After Des announced the news of Noah’s birth, the comments section of her Instagram post was flooded with congratulatory messages. “Congratulations!!! So adorable!!” fellow Bachelor Nation star Ashley Iaconetti wrote. The Bachelor season 14 star Tenley Molzhan gushed, “Oh my goodness!!!! Congratulations Desiree! He’s perfect!!!!”
The former reality star has been keeping fans updated throughout her pregnancy. On October 15, she revealed, “And the countdown begins. 4 weeks away!! Can’t even believe how fast the time is flying. We started school and sports and it’s all been a blur! Anyone else?” Before that, she admitted, “Third trimester Des can’t hang..,” in another Instagram post.
She also shared photos from her family’s summer vacation at Sunriver in Oregon. “Chris grew up coming to Sunriver as a kid & so it’s been fun to take our boys each year as they make their own new memories!” she posted. “It’s like a kid’s dream with so much to do. Bike riding, horses, pool, bouncy houses, rock wall, and did I mention bike riding. lol. Crazy to think next year there will be a baby to stroll around.”
In 2021, Desiree opened up to Us Weekly about why she and Chris live more privately following their time on reality TV. “I think it’s honestly making the relationship a priority and not becoming famous,” she explained. “Like, stop caring about your Instagram followers. And if you love the person, then make that your priority and maybe move away from L.A. [instead of] moving to L.A.”
