ExclusiveBrittany Cartwright Reflects on Dealing with Jax Taylor’s ‘Bullcrap’ and Shares Dating Status Update

Brittany Cartwright exclusively reflects on the “bullcrap” she dealt with during her marriage to estranged husband Jax Taylor with Life & Style – and shares an update on her dating life.

“I’m very much single. I think it’s fun to date around. I’m not gonna say I haven’t dated around. But, you know, I’m just having fun right now,” Brittany, 36, who announced her separation from Jax, 45, in February 2024, reveals. “I’m not like in a relationship or anything like that. I don’t think I’m ready for that for a while. I still have a lot of things to work on with myself from this marriage that I have been in. So, I want to heal me before I jump into something else immediately.”

Amid her healing journey, Brittany is searching to “figure out why [she] allowed [herself] to deal with so much bullcrap for so many years.”

Brittany and Jax ended their four-year marriage in February 2024 and the Kentucky native officially filed for divorce that August, Life & Style confirmed at the time. In the filing, Brittany requested primary and legal custody of their three-year-old son, Cruz Taylor.

That said, Brittany wants Jax to maintain his relationship with their son and previously told Life & Style how her ex is as a father.

“[Jax] is a great father. He’s just a terrible husband, so I’d never want to take Cruz away from him or anything like that. I still always, no matter what, want him to be in his life,” Brittany said at the time. “But we’re trying and trying and trying and trying to get better every single day, but if I needed something, Jax would be there for me, and he would be there for Cruz in a heartbeat.”

Amid her healing journey, Brittany is also determined to gain her confidence back following her fabulous weight loss transformation.

“When I had Cruz, I had such a hard time getting my shape back. I felt like I was just kind of square after that and I didn’t have any curves to me anymore, “ Brittany admits to Life & Style. “And AirSculpt was able to change that instantly. So, I’m so happy I did it. I will always recommend, 10 out of 10.”

As for her career, Brittany is set to return to Bravo for The Valley season 2. Fans will watch the former Vanderpump Rules stars begin their coparenting relationship following their split as they separated after filming The Valley season 1.

Brittany and Jax tied the knot at the Kentucky Castle in 2019. Fans watched the epic wedding weekend unfold during Vanderpump Rules and the former couple said “I do” in front of their loved ones.

Lisa Vanderpump, who surprised Brittany and Jax during their wedding, exclusively shared her reaction to their separation to Life & Style in April 2024.

“I mean, you know, it’s common divorce nowadays. And if you’d look at potentially two young reality stars probably have less of a chance of it being successful than most people,” the Vanderpump Rules matriarch, 64, said at the time. “But when you have a baby, I think she really wanted that kind of, you know, relationship.”
