Brittany Mahomes Gives Birth to Baby No. 3 With Husband Patrick Mahomes: Find Out Their Daughter’s Name
Officially a team of five! Brittany Mahomes announced the arrival of baby No. 3 with husband Patrick Mahomes in an Instagram post shared on Monday, January 13.
Brittany, 29, and Patrick, 29, welcomed baby No. 3, a daughter named Golden, on Sunday, January 12. “Golden Raye Mahomes. 1/12/2025,” the couple captioned a photo of Patrick’s hands holding the newborn baby’s feet.
The former soccer player and the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback first revealed they were expecting their third child on July 12, 2024, in an adorable announcement video. In the footage, the family coordinated in beige and white attire as they posed for maternity photos in a professional photo studio. The couple — who are already parents to Sterling Skye and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon — danced with their little ones as each of them held baby No. 3’s ultrasound pictures with excitement.
“Round three, here we come,” the pair captioned their joint post.
The adorable announcements continued on July 19, 2024, as Brittany and Patrick revealed the gender of their baby by playing a family game of tic-tac-toe on a large display that revealed pink Xs or blue Os when the squares were turned.
Sterling, 3, got the honor of turning the squares which eventually revealed three pink Xs, signaling that a baby girl was joining the family. As soon as the little one turned the final pink X, pink smoke burst into the air and Brittany scooped her son, 18 months, into her arms and Patrick hugged Sterling. Sterling was then seen waving a flag in the air that read, “Big Sister!”
“Baby Mahomes #3 is a….” Brittany wrote alongside the video clip.
“I’m done,” the Super Bowl champ laughed as he told the reporters. “I’ll say that. I said, ‘Three and I’m done.’”
The athlete then went on to gush about how much he loved being a father. “It’s awesome,” the Texas native said. “I always wanted to have kids young. I got to grow up in a locker room and I think I’ve talked about it before. It made such an impact in my life. We’re having our third kid now to join our family, and Brittany does a great job of doing that, and we still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things.”
Brittany and Patrick’s love story began in their teenage years as high school sweethearts. The two met in 2012 and initially started as friends, but a year later, they decided to take their relationship to the next level. In 2020, Patrick proposed to Brittany at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The couple had to delay their wedding plans when they found out Brittany was pregnant with Sterling just weeks after Patrick’s proposal. However, they eventually got married in Hawaii in March 2022, with Sterling serving as their flower girl.
Two months after their wedding, Brittany and Patrick announced they were expecting their second child. Their son, Bronze, joined the family in November 2022.
