Chariah Gordon Reveals Taylor Swift Sent Her Baby a ‘Thoughtful’ Gift During European Tour
Taylor Swift is the best auntie when it comes to her friends having children. Fellow Kansas City Chiefs WAG and good pal Chariah Gordon revealed the pop superstar took time out of her busy Eras tour European leg over the summer to send her baby daughter a gift.
“It’s so freaking cute and so thoughtful,” Chariah, 29, told Glamour in an interview published on Monday, November 18, although she kept the nature of the present private. “So she, in between shows … was keeping my kids super near.”
Chariah — who is engaged to Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman — welcomed daughter Ci earlier this year, although the couple hasn’t revealed her exact birthdate. The pair also have a son, Mecole Hardman III, also known as “3”, who arrived on February 12, 2023.
Taylor, 34, got to meet Ci when Chariah brought her baby girl to her first Chiefs game on November 10. The team beat the Denver Broncos 16-14 at Arrowhead Stadium.
The mother of two shared an Instagram Story photo of the “Cruel Summer” singer adoringly holding her daughter, which she captioned, “Auntie Tay and Ci.”
That’s not the only sweet nickname Taylor has from Chariah, who revealed they’ve been like sisters ever since the Grammy winner began dating Travis Kelce in August 2023.
“I actually got a chance to meet her at Trav’s house and she was just super, super sweet. And since then we’ve been super cool. I call her my sis. That’s my sis,” she told Glamour.
“She’s just really a sweet, down-to-earth girl. I forgot that she was even Taylor Swift, that’s how she makes you feel. I wasn’t saying, ‘Oh my God, this is Taylor.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, this is one of my home girls from back home.’ That’s how I felt. So, I love it. She makes it,” Chariah added.
The entrepreneur gained the love of Swifites everywhere when she shared the first Instagram photo of Taylor kissing Travis, 35, following the Chiefs’ October 22, 2023, victory over the San Diego Chargers.
It was a new level of PDA for the “Lavender Haze” singer and her boyfriend, as Taylor was shown reaching up to plant a kiss on Travis’ cheek while resting her hand on his chest. Chariah and Mecole, 26, stood next to them with their arms around each other in the snapshot.
Chariah has become fans’ go-to source for Taylor’s activities at Chiefs games, as she frequently shares behind-the-scenes photos and videos with the Pennsylvania native as they cheer on their significant others from Travis’ suite.
The couples recreated the iconic kiss photo after Kansas City kicked off their 2024 season at home against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5, coming through with a 27-20 win.
Taylor, wearing a blue denim corset top and matching shorts, was even more affectionate this time around, holding Travis’ right cheek with her left hand as she pulled his face closer to give him a kiss.
Swifties thanked Chariah once again for giving them a sweet look at Taylor and Travis’ romance. “Chariah breaks the internet part II. You are our MVP,” one person wrote in the comments, while another added, “The recreation is spot on. We as Swifties absolute love you.”
