Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are “crazy for each other,” an insider exclusively tells Life & Style while confirming their engagement.
A source close to Dua, 29, confirmed that the couple got engaged around the 2024 holidays, and the “Levitate” singer is over the moon. Callum, 34, and Dua spent the holidays together with family and friends as they celebrated their plans to wed.
“[Callum] has been the most incredible, loving partner to her in the year they’ve been together. He is always there to support her, will travel to be with her and constantly surprises her with romantic gestures,” the insider tells Life & Style about the couple.
The source continues, “He will show up to a photo shoot just to give her flowers and kiss her hello. It’s adorable.”
“On top of that, he’s gotten very close with her family. Dua is super close with her siblings and they all adore him,” the insider adds. “They are a perfect match.”
Dua and Callum were first romantically linked in January 2024 when a video was released that showed the pair slow dancing at an afterparty for the Los Angeles premiere of Masters of the Air.
They were spotted on a public date night just days later, and the couple seemingly confirmed their romance on January 16, 2024, when they were spotted packing on the PDA during a dinner date in Hollywood.
While Dua and Callum originally kept their romance out of the spotlight, they have seemingly become more comfortable with sharing their love and have posted several adorable snapshots together on social media.
Meanwhile, she sparked engagement rumors when fans spotted that she was wearing a sparkly ring on her left hand ring finger in an Instagram post uploaded on December 27, 2024.
Shortly after social media users noticed the accessory, several fans rushed to the comments section to ask if Callum popped the question. “ARE YOU ENGAGED!? That ring on the first pic omg,” one fan asked.
While neither Dua nor Callum have publicly addressed their engagement, there’s no denying that the couple has been going strong since the very beginning of their romance.
“Dua and Callum have been practically inseparable since they began seeing each other. It’s only been a couple of months, but they are crazy about each other,” an additional insider previously told Life & Style. “Callum isn’t playing any games and Dua loves that he isn’t hiding their relationship.”
After noting that he had “brought her to several events,” the source said that it was “meaningful that he wants her by his side.”
“A lot of actors would want to capitalize on their newfound heartthrob status, but he was serious about her from the beginning and didn’t want to hide it,” the insider continued. “She supported him at his [Masters of the Air premiere] and he did the same for her at the Grammys.”
While Dua walked the Grammys red carpet with her father, Dukagjin Lipa, in February 2024, she was joined by Callum at the afterparty following the awards show.
The source added, “She loves that he is always affectionate with her, even in public, and is protective of her. They’re both incredibly busy but they are making the relationship a priority and making it work.”
