AwwKenya Moore Shares First Ever Photo Of New Baby And It’s So Sweet

Cute baby alert! Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore took to Instagram to share the first ever photo of her daughter Brooklyn Doris. The one-week-old may be small, but her name holds a lot of weight for Kenya and husband Marc Daly. “Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me,” Kenya explained to People when asked about the meaning behind her daughter’s name.

The precious photo posted to Instagram features Brooklyn’s tiny hand in Kenya’s. The series of hashtags used in the caption include, “#miraclebaby” and “#fairytalesdocometrue.” After conceiving her first baby by in vitro, Kenya suffered some pregnancy complications, including preeclampsia. The fairly common condition among pregnant women can be triggered by high blood pressure and can cause damages to the organ system. The results of her condition led Kenya to give birth during an emergency C-section.

Luckily, mom and baby are healthy. Kenya always keeps it very real for her social media followers, and post-partum is no exception. The Bravolebrity shared a video of herself on a scooter at Target shopping for baby essentials despite the “excruciating pain” she’s experiencing while walking. The caption read, “The reality is it will take weeks for me to be able to walk without the excruciating pain of a C section and to heal from the multiple cuts to my uterus. Needed to get her some preemie items so of course, off to @target we went. My aunt Lisa is so afraid! I’m supposed to be in bed.”

Kenya is new to the motherhood game, and concerned fans reached out to give their love and support. “You need to take care of yourself and rest, trust you’ll be needing that and wishing you had it in the days to come. Praying for fast healing. Enjoy that baby and let other [SIC] pamper and help you,” one person pleaded.
