After a whirlwind two-month-long romance, former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid have broken up, Us Weekly confirmed on October 3. The pair seemed inseparable but their relationship fizzled out as quickly as it began.

“Tyler is single. He and Gigi Hadid are no longer together,” a source divulged about the A-listers.

Things appeared to be cooling down a bit when the model, 24, was traveling literally all over the world for fashion weeks in New York, Milan and Paris. “They’ve both been very busy recently — she’s been in Europe for fashion week and he’s been working on his charity and preparing for the Chicago marathon,” a source exclusively dished to Life & Style about the gorgeous duo back when they were “still a thing.” However, distance was getting the best of them. “They still talk, it’s just been a matter of busy schedules.”

The Bachelor Nation stud previously opened up about his relationship with the catwalk queen during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on September 24. He played it very cool and claimed that he was “just friends” with Gigi, despite the romance rumors.

“I mean … that’s just where we’re at. Our relationship doesn’t need to be public. She’s good people, she’s an amazing person and we’re just keeping it friendly,” he explained. “I’m at the point where I don’t really want to talk about my relationships. I’ve dated publicly, so … I’m trying to date privately.”

The 26-year-old reality star also admitted that he turned down the opportunity to be the Bachelor because his interests were elsewhere. “It was something we talked about, but where I was at in my life, I just didn’t think it was where I wanted to be. My heart wasn’t in it, my dad was really sick again, and I was nervous and scared. I sat on it, thought about it, and … my heart wasn’t it,” he said. “Yeah, you shouldn’t go on the show if you have a girlfriend.”

This interesting revelation led Lauren Zima to push the former contestant and ask, “So, you have a girlfriend?” Tyler smoothly recovered by explaining, “No, I wasn’t saying that, but if you’re dating somebody or seeing somebody … My heart wasn’t 100 percent there and that’s something you have to be fully invested in. I was on the other side of it as a contestant and it was a much easier role.”
