It’s been a year since Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber tied the knot, and things are going smoother than ever for the couple. The 22-year-old got candid about her relationship with the 25-year-old pop star, revealing that although marriage can be a challenge, it’s gotten “easier” with time.

“Look, marriage is always going to be hard and I think good relationships are the relationships that you put the work into,” she told Australian Vogue in an article published on September 15. In February, Hailey admitted to American Vogue that marriage was no walk in the park. However, she feels slightly differently now.

“Specifically, I said that there were a lot of new things,” she said, defending her previous claim. “I had never lived with someone before. I never had to cohabitate with somebody in that way, so I was learning how to share space with someone for the first time. We were trying to bend in each other’s direction and learn what was comfortable.”

The blonde beauty continued, “Now it’s easier because we’ve found a rhythm. We have more fun together, which is what should happen when you spend more time with someone you love.” As for what Hailey believes is the key to a healthy relationship? “Compromise,” she told the outlet. “If you don’t want to compromise, you can’t be in a relationship.”

The model also said that having a similar belief system to Justin strengthens their bond. “When you both believe in the same thing, it eases conflict. It’s important for people to have something to believe in.”

Based on the “As Long As You Love Me” crooner’s recent Instagram posts, he’s as crazy about Hailey as she is about him. “I fall more in love with you every single day,” he captioned a series of pics he shared on August 15. “You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I would be lost without [sic] you #wifeyappreciationday.”

Hailey and Justin, who secretly got married in September 2018, have yet to wed in front of their family and friends. We can’t wait for that day to come!
