Oh snap! Hennessy Carolina just inserted herself in the Cardi B/Nicki Minaj drama. Cardi’s younger sis, 22, took to Instagram to defend the “I Like It” rapper after a fan criticized her recent performance. 

The Shade Room posted a video of Cardi at Saturday’s Global Citizen Festival in New York City, when one hater wrote, “She has no stage presence.” Hennessy saw the comment and responded by insulting Nicki: “But Nicki be on drugs on stage looking like a crackhead,” she fired back.

ICYMI, the two rappers have been taking jabs at one another on social media, but their beef got physical during New York Fashion Week‘s Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party on Sept. 7. Nicki allegedly made a comment about Cardi’s parenting skills to baby Kulture, which set the 25-year-old OFF.

Since then, however, it seems like Cardi has had a good sense of humor about the whole thing. On Saturday, Sept. 15 she took to Instagram to poke fun at herself after the fight. The new mama shared a photo of an adorable little girl dressed up in a costume that seemed to be a replica of the gorgeous, red ruffled Dolce & Gabbana gown she wore to the event. 

“Sooooooo buteeeeee [sic] she forgot the knot,” Cardi wrote in the caption, referencing the photos of herself leaving the event after the fight broke out. In the snaps, Cardi clearly had a big knot over her left eye, which is an injury she reportedly suffered during the altercation.

This week, however, her focus has been on yet another (more serious) altercation: The strip club showdown that could land her in the slammer. Cardi reportedly turned herself in to police on Monday, Oct. 1 and has been charged with two misdemeanors counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of assault. If convicted, she could face up to one year in jail.
