While watching clips of him fly in a private plane and travel around the world you may wonder: Is Peter Weber rich? The newest Bachelor star actually does have a job as a pilot for Delta in the ~real world,~ and it seems like his net worth is growing every year. In addition, the Bachelor Nation stud will receive a hefty paycheck for being season 24’s leading man.
At just 28, Peter has already scored a great job with a huge company. While he’s not pulling in professional football player money like Colton Underwood, his salary isn’t too shabby. “Starting first officers at Delta today earn an average of about $68,000 in base pay, according to Kit Darby, an expert on pilot pay, while the most senior captains earn about $261,000,” CNN Business reports. However, employees also commonly receive a nice bonus check. “Delta has the best profit sharing program in the industry, which added nearly $40,000 to every pilot’s pay last year, according to figures from Delta,” the outlet added.
Photos of Peter in a pilot’s uniform date back to 2013, when he would’ve been 22 and (most likely) fresh out of college. However, it’s unclear if he was working for Delta at that time. Two years later, he shared a picture of himself posing in front of a plane for the large airline. Basically, it’s safe to say the California native has been at his company for at least three years, which means he may have gotten a pay bump from the base salary.
It appears that he’ll be able to keep his position at Delta, despite taking a few months of leave to appear on The Bachelorette and now The Bachelor. In addition, he’ll also get a fat paycheck in return for letting America watch his journey to find love. Insider reports that the franchise lead can make up to $100,000 for their nine weeks of work while trying to find ~The One.~ The show does not make these pay rates public so it’s not confirmed the amount Peter will take home. Either way, that doesn’t sound too shabby.
If Peter doesn’t find love, hopefully, he finds a good accountant.
