Jacob Elordi Wants to Leave Los Angeles and ‘Put Roots Down’ in Australia With Girlfriend Olivia Jade
Jacob Elordi is a popular figure in Hollywood thanks to his star-making run on Euphoria, but he’s yearning for his native Australia in a big way, according to a Life & Style insider, who exclusively reveals he wants to relocate back Down Under and take girlfriend Olivia Jade with him!
“With his effortless good looks and rising profile, you’d think Jacob would love L.A., but that’s just not the case and he refuses to put roots down here,” the source explains to Life & Style. “It’s become just a place where he goes to work and he feels like he still doesn’t quite fit in culturally.”
The insider explains that Jacob, 27, “prefers a slower and more carefree pace to life, especially during his downtime.”
“That’s something he has in common with Olivia – she’s just as allergic to the chaos and hustle of Southern California as Jacob is!” the source continues. “Jacob is a sensible guy, and he knows that he and Olivia can still make a living no matter where they live, thanks to the magic of streaming and social media.”
Life & Style’s source notes that Jacob spends his free time in Australia “when he’s not working, no matter how much business he’s done in Los Angeles in the last five years. He only spends time in town for business reasons, and nothing about his and Olivia’s relationship is going to change that.”
Jacob and Olivia, 25, have maintained their relationship out of the spotlight after Life & Style confirmed they were officially an item on May 24, 2022. In fact, a second source recently shared that the Saltburn actor takes great strides to keep their romance private.
“Jacob’s romance with Olivia caught a lot of people off guard, because of her controversial recent history, but they work as a couple because they’re both independent thinkers and do things their own way, for better or worse,” a close friend of Jacob told Life & Style in January.
The pair have been off-again, on-again throughout their three-year relationship. In August 2022, three months after their romance was confirmed, Jacob and Olivia called it quits on their summer love.
“They were never official but have gotten close earlier this summer and enjoyed spending time together. Olivia’s having fun being single!” a third insider exclusively told Life & Style at the time.
According to source No. 3, Jacob was on the same page as Olivia and was “not looking to jump into anything serious at the moment.”
After Jacob was in “full force work mode” for months, he and Olivia rekindled their flame and she supported him during his Saturday Night Live hosting debut in January 2024. Four months later, Just Jared shared photos of the influencer and Kissing Booth actor at a car dealership in Los Angeles.
By September 2024, Jacob got an invite to Olivia’s posh family trip to Sardinia, Italy, alongside her mom, Lori Loughlin, and her dad, Mossimo Giannulli. Although Olivia’s parents seemingly enjoyed their time with Jacob, the former Full House star, 60, wanted to make sure he had the best intentions with her daughter.
“Jacob and Olivia’s relationship has been on and off for several years. Lori just wants to make sure that he’s in it for the long haul,” a fourth source exclusively told Life & Style in November 2024. “Lori’s advice to Olivia is to make sure that this relationship is going somewhere, because she’s dedicated so many years to Jacob already.”
