YouTuber Jeffree Star and Boyfriend Andre Marhold Have Design Meeting for New Custom ‘Cotton Candy’ Car
Behind the wheel — literally! YouTuber Jeffree Star revealed he is designing a custom “cotton candy” car with new boyfriend Andre Marhold on Wednesday, September 16.
“Oh, hello, guys. Today’s hair is inspired by a car that I’m currently creating with McLaren and they are here and they’re showing me paint and leather samples. It’s for a car that is coming out next year,” the 34-year-old explained while showing off a blue and pink hairdo.
The vlogger then shared a video of the company’s box of samples. “You can choose from so many paint and interior options but we wanted to do full custom,” he gushed before flaunting the custom blue and pink leather samples for his luxury vehicle. “So we’re doing a cotton candy car. Look at the interior. It’s going to be insane.”
Afterward, the beauty guru posted a photo of himself and his boyfriend, 30, having a meeting with representatives from McLaren Special Operations, the custom department at the Newport Beach McLaren dealership. “Meeting [with] @mclarennewportbeach was a success!” Jeffree captioned the photo in which he could be seen with his hand on his new man’s leg.
The pricey purchase comes nearly one month after the makeup artist and the basketball player made their relationship Instagram official on August 23. In the steamy PDA snapshot, Andre’s face was obstructed — but his tattoos were visible, which led eagle-eyed fans to decipher his identity days later. Since then, the couple have been showing off on Jeffree’s Instagram Stories and Grid and enjoying time alone at the influencer’s Wyoming home.
On September 9, Jeffree got real about the nature of his relationship with Andre. “The only thing I want to say is I’m having fun with someone,” he explained on his Instagram Stories. “I am genuinely having a good time. No, I am not in a serious relationship. No, I am not in love.”
Though it seems like they’ve been together constantly since debuting as a couple, the Los Angeles native clarified how often he sees the athlete. “We hang out every week or two, we’ve been hanging out for a few months,” Jeffree noted.
The content creator also touched on his ex-boyfriend Nathan Schwandt, whom he dated for five years before their late 2019 split. “I’ve only been in love with one man, y’all know who that is,” Jeffree admitted. “I’m just currently hanging out with someone, y’all. We’re just having a good time.”
