YouTuber Jeffree Star Reveals the Nature of His Relationship With Andre Marhold
This is the tea. YouTuber Jeffree Star revealed the status of his relationship with new man Andre Marhold on Wednesday, September 9.
“The only thing I want to say is I’m having fun with someone,” the 34-year-old told fans on his Instagram Stories. “I am genuinely having a good time. No, I am not in a serious relationship. No, I am not in love.”
The makeup artist went on to explain the foresight behind his September 5 post with Andre, where the couple posed in rainbow Versace robes. “My caption the other day about ‘Love Always Wins’ was about equality and just the feeling of love and affection,” Jeffree noted about the steamy snapshot.
The beauty guru also addressed his past relationship with longtime boyfriend Nathan Schwandt, with whom he split in January. “I’ve only been in love with one man, y’all know who that is,” he hinted at his former flame, 27, before continuing, “I’m just currently hanging out with someone, y’all. We’re just having a good time.”
Jeffree then explained the basketball player is currently in Atlanta visiting his son, Amari — and that he and the athlete aren’t always together. “We hang out every week or two, we’ve been hanging out for a few months,” he said.
His clarifications came after Andre’s ex, Leezy — who is the mother of the baller’s son — exclusively told Life & Style she was “completely devastated” and “humiliated” when she learned of her man’s relationship with Jeffree when the pair went public on social media on August 23.
“I’m still hurt and confused about the situation because I do not know, I don’t know what’s going on, honestly,” she revealed on September 2. “From [that] day until now, we’ve had, like, no communication.”
Ultimately, the Jeffree Star Cosmetics founder assured fans “a lot of major life changes are happening” for him — “and really good ones, too. However, he’s not without his struggles. “As you grow and evolve, it’s going to hurt, going to be painful, going to be uncomfortable.”
No matter what, the vlogger is living in the moment and enjoying every second. He told fans during his broadcast, “I have been waking up genuinely happy.”
