Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Gush Over Each Other Post-Golden Globes: ‘You Are My Everything’

No, we’re not crying! You’re crying. Following the 2020 Golden Globes, Alex Rodriguez took to Instagram to share a heartwarming message for his fiancée, Jennifer Lopez

“Jen, it doesn’t take a trophy, medal, or plaque to identify a true champion,” the retired MLB star, 44, began on Sunday, January 5. “To millions of young women who have watched you and have been inspired and empowered to do amazing things in their lives, you are a champion.”

Unfortunately, J. Lo didn’t take home the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for playing Ramona in Hustlers. However, the singer’s husband-to-be wanted to make it clear that she’s still every bit a winner!

“For countless musicians, dancers, actresses and performers who have seen and emulate your passion, drive and work ethic to find their own success, you are a champion,” Alex continued. “To your children, your family, your coaches, your staff and your extended family, you are a champion. To everyone whose lives you enrich daily, you are a champion. And don’t you ever forget it.”

OK, we are crying. The sweetest part? J. Lo’s response, of course. “You are my everything,” she commented, along with a red heart emoji. Naturally, plenty of other people chimed in with kind words, too. “She’s a queen! Such an inspiration,” one user gushed. “Oh my goodness, this is so sweet! Yes, Jen is our champion and I adore her so very much,” added a second.

“An inspiration and a winner to us all,” echoed a third person, while a fourth wrote, “Period. Well said. She’s still a winner in our eyes and will always be since the beginning! We all know she works so hard and she continues to inspire us. She’s more than enough and I’m always proud of her.”

With the 2020 Oscars coming up in February, perhaps J. Lo will take home the gold then! Either way, A-Rod is right — she’s still a champion!
