Jennifer Lopez Celebrates Twins Max and Emme’s 17th Birthdays With Rare Video: ‘Love You Beyond Forever’
Jennifer Lopez celebrated her twins Max Muñiz and Emme Muñiz’s 17th birthday with a rare video.
The “On the Floor” singer, 55, took to Instagram on Saturday, February 22, to give a glimpse into her relationships with her two kids while celebrating their birthdays. “Seventeen. I love you beyond forever,” Jennifer captioned the clip, alongside two coconut emojis. As fans of Jennifer know, she also affectionately refers to her children as her “coconuts.”
The clip, which was set to Miley Cyrus’ “Edge of Midnight,” featured baby photos of Max and Emme, as well as rare family videos and photos that documented the twins’ childhood.
Jennifer shares Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 until 2014.
Shortly after she shared the video, several of her friends and social media followers rushed to the comments section to express their shock over how fast Max and Emme have grown up. “17 is crazyy, they were just 13 yesterday. Happy birthday to our favorite twins!!” one person commented, and another chimed in, “I remember when you were pregnant with the coconuts. OMG!”
An additional person reminded Jennifer of how lucky she is to have her children. “True Love exists, and it is this. Eternal, pure and authentic. The one you give to your children every day. To the exceptional and loving mother you are. Happy Birthday coconuts! With Love …” the social media user commented.
The comment was likely made in response to Jennifer’s split from ex-husband Ben Affleck, whom she filed for divorce from in August 2024 after two years of marriage. Their divorce was ultimately finalized in January.
In October 2024, an insider exclusively told Life & Style that the Wedding Planner actress was “ready to move on” from her latest failed marriage. “She decided to do some introspection — she says four divorces will do that. Get ready for an all new J. Lo — she wants to start a new chapter,” the source shared.
Her kids are likely keeping her distracted following the heartbreak, as Jennifer has never been shy when it comes to gushing about her love of motherhood. Despite allowing her kids to live relatively private lives, Jennifer has been open about her close relationships with Max and Emme.
In January, the mother of two revealed that her kids aren’t afraid to share their candid thoughts with her. “I think kids are like kind of wrapped up in their own lives a bit, but if you ask them, they will give you their honest opinion about everything, you know what I mean?” she told E! News at the time. “They’re ready to be brutally honest with you at times.”
She then added that she likes to run her professional projects by her kids. “I like my kids to see my work and know what I’m doing,” Jennifer said. “And I’ll share certain things with them and say, ‘What do you think of this?’ or, ‘What do you think of that?’ And they always have an interesting perspective, because they’re from a different generation.”
“It’s really always additive as far as I’m concerned,” Jennifer added about her children’s input. “I always have such joy from hearing their thoughts and what they think about things.”
