John Legend Gushes Over ‘Best Friend’ Chrissy Teigen: ‘She’s The One, It’s Clear!’
Made for each other! John Legend gushed about his special bond with Chrissy Teigen and why she’s such a great fit for him. The singer was recently named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive and confessed that he feels his most attractive with his gorgeous partner by his side.
“She’s The One, it’s clear!” the 40-year-old told the publication in the latest issue. “Chrissy’s the one because we have great chemistry, she makes me laugh all the time. She’s a wonderful mother. She’s my best friend and she inspires some good love songs, too.”
The pair got married back in 2013 and they still keep the romance alive with “Italian food” and “good wine.” Although the glamorous date nights are nice, the “All of Me” artist noted that being a supportive spouse is the secret to their strong bond.
“Being a good husband is about communicating and listening to what your partner needs and wants. A lot of it is being trustworthy, being dependable, being someone they can rely on,” he added. “They want security and to know someone has their back. Hopefully, I do that for Chrissy.”
It seems like their marriage is solid and the couple is keeping their sights set on raising their two children — Luna, 3, and Miles, 18 months. Both John and Chrissy, 33, frequently share their daily adventures with their adorable kiddos, but the cookbook author recently confessed that she worries about the effects of social media.
“I know a lot of people who make the conscious decision to blur out their kids’ faces,” the former model explained during an interview in the December issue of Vanity Fair. “I worry, What must they think of me? They must think I’m insane.”
Chrissy is known for her sharp sense of humor, but she confessed that anxiety clouds her daily thoughts. “I’ll get a new dog and be like, This dog is going to die in my lifetime. The second we land somewhere on vacation I think, Oh, it’s going to be so sad to pack. I’ve never said, ‘Oh, I’m so excited for this job,’” she explained. “I’m more, One day it’s just going to end.”
