Kailyn Lowry Shares Belly-Baring Selfies and Says Her Weight ‘Fluctuates More Than Anyone I Know’

To be clear, we think the proud mama-of-three always looks fabulous. However, we do understand that every individual has a certain weight they’re most comfortable at.  

Kailyn first shared a selfie from February 2018 after a fan (rudely) asked, “Why you look fat with clothes, but you are not fat? Confused.” Maybe keep your confusion to yourself next time, buddy. 

“My weight fluctuates more than anyone I know,” she began, adding, “Most likely due to my poor eating habits and doing well for weeks, then bad again.” We hear that, girl.

Kailyn continued: “Also, I do not wear clothes that are flattering to my body.” Don’t be so hard on yourself, lady! Self-love is the best kind. 

In the past, Kailyn has attributed her ill-fitting clothing to the size of breasts. With that, she revealed to Life & Style why she’s considering undergoing breast reduction surgery.

“Just met with the doctor for my reduction, you guys!!!” Kailyn initially wrote on Twitter after meeting with surgeon Michael K. Obeng MD. Aww, we love how excited she was to share the big news.

Shortly thereafter, Kailyn briefly explained her thought process. “Honestly, I think my huge boobs make me look bigger than I am.”

“Certain clothes [don’t] lay right,” she continued. “I’m already a big girl [and] my boobs don’t help that situation,” she added.

Speaking more in depth on her reasoning, Kailyn told Life & Style, “My weight gain … my chest has gotten so big I literally can’t deal. My back hurts, bras don’t fit. I have to hold them down when I work out.

“I think I’ll feel better about my health and my appearance,” she expressed. That’s all that matters, Kail. Who doesn’t want to feel good in the skin they’re in?

Unfortunately, Kailyn opening up about her potential surgery lead to a considerable amount of backlash. Got to love the internet, right? 

“Reduction of what? You’ve ruined yourself to look like an [emoji], so now you want to go back like Bri and try to fix what you never should have done in the first place. Hopefully, it’s not Dr. Miami again. See how well that worked out that the first time?” one troll wrote.

“What are you getting reduced?” another asked, to which one hater replied, “hopefully, her ego.” Ouch. Y’all need to chill. 

Thankfully, after years of being in the spotlight — she began her Teen Mom journey in 2010 — Kailyn is hardly phased by the haters. She has nine years experience, people!

“I’m not really sure about responses. I haven’t really paid too much attention to what people are saying about it,” she expressed.

We’re glad that Kailyn doesn’t acknowledge the negativity. So much so, that she’s willing to share other struggles she’s had with self-image — including acne.

In fact, she recently updated fans about her journey with Accutane (a strong medication used to treat severe cases of acne). Kailyn has “six to eight more weeks” until she’s finished with her prescription and TBH, we think her skin looks amazing! 

Speaking of amazing, it looks like Kailyn doesn’t let her fluctuating weight stop her from getting her sweat on. The blonde beauty consistently hits the gym to work on her fitness.

At the end of the day, no matter what she’s going through Kailyn is always transparent with fans and that’s what we love most about her! Oh, and of course, her adorable sons — Issac, 9, Lincoln, 5, and Lux, 19 months.
