Kaitlyn Bristowe Admits She ‘Had a Boyfriend’ When She Went on ‘The Bachelor’: ‘He Was Great!’
Spill the tea! Former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe surprisingly revealed that she had a boyfriend when she agreed to meet Chris Soules and become a contestant on The Bachelor in 2015. The Canadian made the unexpected revelation during an appearance on E!’s LadyGang on Sunday, May 12.
“I had a boyfriend when I went on The Bachelor!” the 33-year-old announced. “His name was Trevor. He was great!” When host Keltie Knight pointed out that Trevor is a “f–kboy name,” Kaitlyn had to disagree. “Not this Trevor … Firefighter, great guy,” she reflected with admiration.
The ladies definitely thought this was a smart move on Kaitlyn’s part. The conversation started when Keltie dished that former contestant Ashley Spivey turned down the opportunity to be the leading lady for season 7 because she had a boyfriend. This led the producers to ask Ashley Herbert to take the reins. She ended up falling for J.P. Rosenbaum, who she has since married and had two children with.
Obviously, everything worked out just fine. After Kaitlyn and Shawn Booth, her fiancé of three years, split in fall 2018, she found love with fellow franchise alum Jason Tartick. The two seem extremely happy together.
Later during the same episode LadyGang, Keltie put the New York native on the spot via Facetime and asked if he thought Kaitlyn was “the one.” The stud had an answer that would make anyone swoon. “That’s a very easy answer for me. I have never in my life been as happier as I am with Kaitlyn and there’s no looking back right now,” he sweetly responded.
The host followed up her first question by asking if he was “intimidated” by “how strong and powerful” his gorgeous girlfriend is. “Intimidated would be the polar opposite. I am turned on by how strong she is,” Jason divulged.
We are totally head-over-heels for Jason and Kaitlyn. Sorry, Trevor!
