Whether you get swept up in the romance or are in it for the drama, Bachelor Nation has had some epic proposals. Cassie may have run for the hills at the idea of Colton Underwood getting down on one knee, but there have been some gorgeous (and very real) engagements in franchise history. Although some of the duos have since gone their separate ways, others are still going strong. Keep scrolling to see the most emotional proposals!
Sean made his debut on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette in 2012, but he was destined for someone else. He met Catherine after becoming the season 17 leading man. The born-again virgin proposed to his now-wife and she declared, “You’re so my prince.” The sweet pair wed in 2014 and share two sons — Samuel, 2, and 7-month-old Isaiah.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth
Kaitlyn and Shawn parted ways after being engaged for three years, but their proposal was one of the best in the franchise. They had an obvious spark since they first laid eyes on each other and tension built the entire season as hopeful fans waited for them to finally just be together.

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell
Ben and Lauren had a slightly ~awkward~ split after filming an even more uncomfortable reality show that put a spotlight on their bumpy relationship. Whether you believe someone can find their soulmate on reality TV or not, there’s no denying that these two were in love at the end of season 20. Their chemistry jumped off the screen and they both looked elated to be engaged. They have since moved on and are now in happy relationships but we’ll never forget their romance.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham
A controversial pick? Maybe, but Arie and Lauren are making it the distance. The racecar driver famously got engaged to Becca Kufrin only to change his mind shortly after the finale was filmed. He dumped the brunette beauty and proposed to Lauren during the After the Final Rose special. Yes, it was a shady situation (obviously) but they looked really happy. The couple married in Janu-Arie (*eye roll*) and have a baby on the way.

Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon
We all let out a collective sigh of relief when Jared got down on one knee to make things official with Ashley during season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. Unlike many couples on the franchise, we got to see literal years of their relationship ups and downs and felt invested in their success. She finally got her guy and their love is so real. We can’t wait for the wedding!
